A handy app allowing NZ Post customers to track their parcels, redirect parcels already in transit and make 24 hour drop-offs directly to their kiosks.
The app we inherited was deemed a little one-dimensional in use: namely you use it to track parcels. It also lacked a little polish and panache.
There’s a host of other useful features that people weren’t engaging with, like the ability to redirect parcels already in transit and arranging to send parcels. To counter this impression we went for a two pronged attack. On the homescreen we introduced what I call the Discovery bar, just a simple carousel we use to highlight useful features that customers don’t know about. Secondly, we introduced an app features carousel for when people first load the app, or after an update. This can be used to highlight the latest updates and also a showcase for the apps uses.
To provide a softer, more personable touch we included imagery of people engaging with different aspects of NZ Post. Highlighting the emotive qualities that comes with sending and receiving parcels.
